Wide Eye is a brand of sweetened, caffeinated alcohol drinks presumably aimed at the younger, party atmosphere. The name "wide eye" is mean to invoke the effects of both the sugar and the caffeine counteracting the effects of alcohol. They are designed specifically as shooters.
Wide Mango Chili schnapps is perhaps one of the more interesting of the "mischievous" flavor combinations, in this case a salsa like sweet and spicy version of the popular tropical fruit.
Their were issues regarding ad claims that were settled with the FTC in November of 2009, according to Faulty Drugs. Ad claims such as "When you party with the world's first caffeinated schnapps it'll seem like the rest of the world is sleepwalking through life" were considered deceptive. The settlement did not contain an admission of fault.
