There has been a renaissance in small-batch American Rye in the past few years and the Rittenhouse label from Heaven Hill Distilleries has been at the forefront. Heaven Hill is one of the country’s largest, independent, family-owned distilleries and they have tapped their resources to find a select number of perfect barrels of 23 year old rye for this bottling.

The 21-year-old release was of 32 barrels. The 23-year-old is just 25 barrels. It is single-barrel, so each bottling could be slightly different. It’s fun to tell what bottle you have.
