Tennessee Spirits Jailers whiskey is a newer brand into the American whiskey market. Jailers Tennessee whiskey is overseen by Dave Scheurich, who uses the Tennessee process of drizzling the spirit through charred maple. It is aged for 8 years in oak prior to bottling.

The label is owned and managed by Tennessee Spirits Company (itself a subsidiary of Capital Brands). According to the filing at the federal Tax and Trade Bureau, it is produced by contract at Wisconsin’s Midwest Custom Bottling whom we note here as the producer (a more recent filing suggests Luxco in Missouri). According to a write up in the Tasting Panel Magazine (May, 2012), there are plans to build a distillery in Tennessee. Update: their marketing website now reports that the distillery is indeed being built in Pulaski, TN on 120 picturesque acres.
