Serpis Absinthe is a traditional absinthe from Spain. Its roots began in the 19th century. At that time, a handful of little distilleries around Alicante began absinthe production. In 1964, these distilleries joined together to form Licores Sinc.
Stimulating and aphrodisiacal, and an inspiration for writers, artists and bohemians, it was banned for some time due to its controversial side effects.
Produced using an ancient formula, the stronger of our two varieties (65º) contains high amounts of thujone.
With an intense, complex flavour, it can be enjoyed on its own, with water and over ice, although the traditional method, using a slotted spoon and a sugar cube, is surely the most authentic way to enjoy it.
