Punch was a large product before Vinmonopolet was created with
well-known brands that had participated in international
exhibitions from the various distilleries. This
tradition was continued by Vinmonopolet. A total of seven
brands were marketed in the period 1927-93. Five of the
brands are linked to the distilleries P.A. Larsen,
H. Poulsen & Co and Løiten.

Two of the brands were developed by Vinmonopolet,
Banco Punsch from 1930 to 1944 and Rumpunsch from
1947-91. Norwegian-produced punch thus went out
of production in 1991.
