Beluga vodkas consider themselves “super” or “ultra-premium” vodkas, made from “malt” (we presume barley). They say that it is made in an “environmentally clean” area of Siberia, “300 kilometers” away from any other industry. It is blended down with artesian well water and filtered not through the traditional Russian charcoal process but rather through quartz sand and silver. There are some additives to the vodka for flavor (something that may alarm vodka purists) including honey, oat extract, and Silybum marianum extract.
Beluga Gold Line includes some premium packaging, including handmade bottles, but also some specialty extracts for taste. While the classic line includes oat and Sylibum extracts, the gold line also includes rice and rhodiola rosea extract. It is rested for 90 days prior to bottling to “balance the structure” of the grain in the vodka.
