Beluga vodkas consider themselves “super” or “ultra-premium” vodkas, made from “malt” (we presume barley). They say that it is made in an “environmentally clean” area of Siberia, “300 kilometers” away from any other industry. It is blended down with artesian well water and filtered not through the traditional Russian charcoal process but rather through quartz sand and silver. There are some additives to the vodka for flavor (something that may alarm vodka purists) including honey, oat extract, and Silybum marianum extract. The vodka is rested for 30 days prior to bottling, which they believe settles and balances the structure of the grain to improve the taste.
Beluga Noble Russian Vodka is their classic expression.
