Originating from the esteemed Buffalo Trace Distillery in the USA, this Experimental Collection Fire Pot Barrel Aged Bourbon is a singular expression of craftsmanship. Distilled and barreled in 1996, it was aged for 10 years in white oak barrels treated with Fire Pot #4 char, crafted by Independent Stave with six-month air-dried staves. The barrel was heated to 102°F for 23 minutes to enhance wood drying, imparting a distinctive amber chestnut color. This bourbon exhibits a smoky nose with subtle hints of fruit and tobacco, balanced by a sour mash #1 recipe and chill filtration. Bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV), it reflects a 33.5% evaporation loss, underscoring its rarity. This unique single barrel release exemplifies meticulous aging and innovative barrel treatment.
