The abundant lemon groves of Southern Italy inspired limoncello. And the fragrant orange groves of Sicily sparked the taste of Caravella Orangecello.
Made following the same time-honored tradition as limoncello, Orangecello is created with the peels of Sicilian oranges soaked with sugar and orange juice in pure grain alcohol. The result is a sweet, orange-infused liqueur that is best served ice-cold.
The Sperone family is the only distiller in Italy making and importing Orangecello to the United States. The first bottles arrived in 2002.
