It was made from a special blend of superior quality cognacs, mainly from Fine Champagne and aged for at least 6 years. They are classified as an intermediary between Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge and Cuvee du Centenaire.
This particular Cuvee Regence (Regency Decanter) was made of crystal and pewter. It is a replica of a bottle created during the Regency period (1715-1723) after the death of the “Roi Soleil” (Louis XIV), approximately 100 years before the founding of Marnier-Lapostolle.
