Back in the day, Jameson 12 Year Old Whiskey was known as the 1780, in reference to the foundations of the Jameson distillery on Bow Street, Dublin (which were put down in 1780). Their 12 year old blend is known by a different name, but this 1980s bottle bares the 1780 name, and a charming portrait of John Jameson himself.
