This is not actually a tequila but we chose to classify it under tequilas from a competitive standpoint (and to avoid confusion). But even Skyrocket Distillers admits, “It’s not tequila – it’s made in California for tequila afficianados around the world – We can grow agaves and make distilled spirits out of them, but we can’t call it tequila because tequila is a geographical designation controlled by the Mexican government.” It’s a little bit like scotch being made somewhere besides Scotland. The distillery itself–that is the building–is organic. Their website doesn’t mention the ingredients.
