This Mexican rum, is one of a few rums made in the Solera method, where rum of varying ages are matured separately in oak barrels. IN order to maintain a consistent style and flavour, as aged rum is drawn out of the barrels for bottling, the younger rum is blended into some of the remaining aged rum. Golden amber colour. Sweet nose with a slight floral perfume, and subdued alcohol. On the palate, complex flavours of cigar, cedar and licorice. The finish lingers with dark roast coffee and a dry smoky note.
