Three Feathers Blended Whiskey is a vintage American blend, produced by Schenley in the 1950s and exported for the Italian market. Schenley is one of the big names in the American whiskey industry. The company was founded in the 1920s by Lewis Rosenstiel and operated several distilleries from the Empire State Building in New York. Schenley was one of the few businesses that was allowed to make whiskey during Prohibition, since they had acquired a license to produce medicinal whiskey. In 1987, the company was sold to Guinness, which is today a Diageo brand.
