One of the many heritage brands now produced at Heaven Hill.

Meadowlawn Distilling Co. operated out of the Old Boone Distillery in Jefferson County but after a fire closed the distillery in 1971, production was relocated to Bardstown. Almost unbelievably, the Heaven Hill distillery where this was produced also burned down in 1996. Heaven Hill’s distilling operations now take place at Bernheim.

Aged 15 years and bottled at 101 proof around 2012, there is a possibility that this bottle contains bourbon produced on the rented stills at Jim Beam or Brown Forman in the intervening years between 1996 and 1999.
