Originating from the esteemed Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, this 1984 Straight Kentucky Rye Whiskey is a testament to masterful craftsmanship. Aged for 23 years in hand-selected white oak barrels, it delivers a richly complex profile marked by robust rye spice, subtle vanilla, and oak nuances. This single barrel expression, hand bottled from Barrel No. 11 and designated ‘The Velvet Glove,’ is a rare gem with only 220 bottles produced, this being number 39. Distilled at 68.5% ABV (137 proof), it offers an intense yet refined tasting experience. The bottle features a slightly damaged wax seal on the cap, reflecting its vintage character.
